Last night (13 February), officers from our Rotherham Central Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the Government Counter Fraud Awards, held in Westminster, London, where they were announced winners of the ‘Outstanding Collaboration’ award.

The team were nominated for their success with ‘Operation Holmes’ in October 2018.

PC’s Claire Atkinson and Luke Budgol, and Police Community Support Officer Jacqui Millward, attended the ceremony, alongside colleagues from the Department for Work and Pensions and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.

PC Atkinson said: “We were up against some strong nominations in our category and we were happy just being nominated for these awards.

“To be judged as winners in our category and be nationally recognised for our collaboration work is fantastic news.”

PC Bugdol added: “To receive recognition for our work is amazing and to be able to attend and represent the team was humbling. It was a great first day back at work following my surgery.”
