Enquiries in to death of woman in Rotherham continue

Detectives are this evening continuing with their enquiries in to the death of a woman in Rotherham.

Emergency services were called to a house in Cedric Crescent, Thurcroft, just before 8.50pm last night (Wednesday 13 February), following reports of an altercation outside of the property.

A 34-year-old woman, found unconscious, was given medical treatment at the scene but was pronounced dead shortly after.

A post-mortem examination carried out earlier today has proved inconclusive and further tests will be carried out over the coming weeks to determine exactly how she died.

Formal identification is expected to take place tomorrow (Friday 15 February).

A 39-year-old woman arrested in connection has been bailed.
