Arrest made in connection to serious of ram raids

Detectives investigating a series of ram raids on businesses across Sheffield have made an arrest in connection to the incidents.

The 24-year-old man was arrested earlier this morning, from the Parson Cross area, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit thefts. He has been released under investigation.

At around 2am on Sunday 11 February, it was reported that Screwfix in Hillsborough was targeted, followed by a break-in at the Texaco petrol station on Burncross Road, Chapeltown, 45 minutes later.

At 4am that same morning, it was reported that the Tesco Express on Dykes Hall Road, Hillsborough, had been targeted in a ram raid and a Spar store on Pot House Lane, at around 4.20am.
