A Police Officer from Kendray Station is swapping the streets of Barnsley for the sights of London, as she runs 26 miles to raise money for a charity close to her heart.

As an ex-rugby player, PC Fran Robbs is keen to raise as much money and awareness for The Rugby Injured Players Foundation.

The charity provides support and information to rugby players who have suffered catastrophic spinal cord or traumatic brain injuries, which have resulted in permanent disability, whilst playing rugby in England at any level and at any age.

PC Robbs is taking part in the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 28 April.
She said: “I am looking forward to the challenge and raising money for such an amazing charity.
“No donation is too small and I would like to thank you for your support.”
