Drugs and cash seized in Sheffield warrants

Tasking team officers in Sheffield have seized a quantity of suspected Class A drugs following warrants carried out in the city.

Early on Thursday morning, 31 May, four warrants were carried out at addresses in the Burngreave area.

A quantity of suspected crack cocaine was recovered from an address in Carwood Green, in addition to an amount of cash.

A man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s were both arrested from the address, on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

They have been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Officers carrying out the warrants also seized a knife, found near to the junction of Petre Street and Carwood Road, following a search of the area.
