We are appealing for information following a burglary and theft of jewellery in Sheffield.

On 2 September at 8.30pm, it is reported that a man entered a communal block of flats on Ranmoor View, Fulwood, and made his way into the home of the victim, an elderly female.

It is reported that the man distracted the victim by asking for a carrier bag and stole a jewellery box containing a wedding band, a three-diamond cluster gold ring and a distinctive silver necklace with a flower pendant.

The man is described as white, aged between 45-50 years old, with crew cut balding hair, and was reported to be wearing a black leather jacket.

PC Louise Atha, the officer leading the investigation, said: "We’re keen to hear from anyone who knows of the whereabouts of this jewellery or has information that can help officers locate it or find those responsible.”
