Dashcam and witnesses sought following Rotherham collision

We’re appealing for witnesses and those with dashcam footage or information to come forward and assist us with our enquiries into a road traffic collision in the Brinsworth area of Rotherham.

On Wednesday 6 September, at 1:15pm officers responded to reports of a collision involving three cars on Bawtry Road.

It is reported that a grey Citroen C3 joined Bawtry Road from Pavilion Lane and collided with a grey Peugeot 208. The driver of the Peugeot 208 is then believed to have collided with a grey Peugeot 3008 travelling in the opposite direction.

A passenger in the Peugeot 3008, a 81 year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she remains in a serious but stable condition. The driver, a 58 year-old woman suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Peugeot 208, a 53 year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Citroen C3, a 45 year-old man was arrested at the scene for driving while over the prescribed limit of alcohol and dangerous driving causing serious injuries. The driver has since been bailed with conditions.
