CCTV image released in theft investigation

We have released a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection to a theft at Shipley's Casino and Slots in Sheffield city centre.

It is reported that on Tuesday 1 August at around 6am, a woman was playing on slot machines with her handbag on the chair next to her.

It is then alleged that an unknown man approached her, distracted her in conversation and took over £2,000 from the victim’s bag.

We’re keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as we believe he can assist with enquiries.
