As we continue our celebration of Armed Forces Week, we hear from Gary Fox who had a fascinating career in the army before finally finding a role in South Yorkshire Police that puts many of his skills to use.
Gary joined the army in 1979 and served 27 years. As with many veterans, Gary didn’t know what he wanted to do following his departure from the army. An opportunity to join the Learning Support Unit at the Metropolitan Police caught his attention, then following a role closer to home in Leicestershire Police and a failed retirement, Gary eventually found a role in South Yorkshire Police that sparked his interest and thankfully, he plans to stay with us until he decides it’s time to retire.
Hear about Gary’s interesting journey in the video: https://youtu.be/4An-Rq81QOo
