Man found not guilty of Sheffield manslaughter
Date published: 13 July 2023 09:01A 21-year-old man has been found not guilty of manslaughter following a trial at Sheffield Crown Court.
Levi Hampsey has been on trial since Monday 3 July charged with manslaughter. On Tuesday 11 July, the jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict.
Shortly after 11pm on Saturday 23 July 2022, emergency services were called to Bowshaw Close, Batemoor, following reports a man had been injured. Michael Rose, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene.
