Officers investigating a burglary at the home of a Sheffield pensioner, have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

It is reported that at around 11.45pm on 18 June, an unknown offender broke into an address on Wood Lane in Stannington, whilst the occupant was asleep upstairs.

The address was searched, and an amount of cash was taken from the property.

Investigating Officer Hannah Goodwin said: “The victim in this case is an elderly man, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease.

“He and his family have naturally been left distressed by the incident, in which an unknown offender has searched through personal belongings whilst his victim was asleep.

“Burglary can have a significant impact, more so when the victim is vulnerable – if you can help my enquiry, please get in touch.”

The investigation is ongoing, but anyone who has information about the man pictured, is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 931 of 18 June, or submit an online report.
