Woman named in Doncaster investigation

A woman who sadly died in Askern, Doncaster earlier this week, has been named as 49-year-old Amanda Sedgwick.

On Tuesday 19 May at 10:59pm, officers were called to a property on Manor Way in Askern following a call made to the ambulance service reporting that a woman had died.

An investigation is underway into the death of Amanda.
A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding Amanda’s death.

Her family are being supported by specially trained officers.
