Three charged in connection to Arbourthorne shooting

Two men and a woman have been charged with attempted murder following shootings in Arbourthorne, Sheffield, earlier this week.

On Tuesday 30 June, officers were called to Errington Avenue shortly before 9.45pm following reports of a firearms discharge. A short time later, at 9.53pm, a call was received reporting shots had also been fired on Aylward Road.  

On Wednesday 1 July, a 20 year-old man and 24 year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Yesterday (2 July). a 22 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have all since been charged.

Joshua Motteshead, 20, of St Aidan’s Avenue, Demi Dunford, 24, of Derby Street and Nicky Haycock, 22, of Ironside Close, have all been charged with attempted murder and remanded into police custody.

They will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today (3 July).
