Officers appeal to witnesses to Sheffield assault

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in the Walkley area of Sheffield.  

It is reported that on Wednesday 17 June, a woman was walking her dog along Langsett Road in Walkley around 6:30pm. She was walking towards the city centre, as she approached the junction of Cuthbert Bank Road and Langset Road when she was approached by two unknown men. 

The victim, a 55 year-old woman suffered injuries to her eye and skull. 

One of men involved is described as being in his late teens (17-19), dark hair, of a slim build. It is believed he was wearing black jogging bottoms or jeans. 

The second man is described as being in his late teens (17-19), of a slim build, with light brown hair and wearing grey jogging bottoms.
