Woman dies following Sheffield collision

An 85-year-old woman has sadly died in hospital following a collision in Sheffield last month.

At around 9.05am on Thursday 24 January, it is reported that a silver Land Rover Freelander and a pedestrian were involved in a collision in Hollinsend Road, at the junction with Ridgeway Road, Sheffield.

The pedestrian, an 85-year-old woman, was taken to hospital where her condition deteriorated and she sadly died on Tuesday 29 January.

Her family are receiving support from specially trained officers and have asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time. They do not wish to disclose details of their loved one to the public at this time.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision and anyone who may have seen the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the collision. They are especially keen to speak to any motorists who may have been travelling in the area and may hold dashcam footage.
