Officers ask witnesses to Sheffield collision to come forward

Police are asking for witnesses, who may have seen a collision between a police car, a black Peugeot and a cyclist yesterday (Tuesday 14 March), to come forward.

At around 7.55am, a police car travelling with its lights and siren on was involved in a collision with a black Peugeot 5008 between Queens Road and Charlotte Road in Sheffield. The Peugeot 5008 then collided with a cyclist waiting at the lights.

The driver of the Peugeot and the cyclist were not hurt in the collision. An officer in the police car was taken to Northern General Hospital with minor injuries.

Police have dash cam footage from their vehicle of the collision but would like to speak to anyone, who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, to please contact them.
