Vehicle Maintenance AssistantRole Profile – As a volunteer within Vehicle Maintenance your role may include the general maintenance & upkeep of the police garage. Based at various locations across South Yorkshire, Vehicle Maintenance Assistant Volunteers will assist in the basic maintenance of Police vehicle stocks.  

Community Safety Volunteer   - As a Community Safety Volunteer, you will support and assist Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Support Staff and fellow volunteers in the dissemination of crime prevention information and associated Community Safety initiatives.  For details on this role only and to apply - please click here

Puppy Walkers - Role Profile - As a volunteer you will be responsible for looking after a puppy from 8 weeks old up to approximately 18 months to two years. You will be responsible for their daily health and care, provide basic training and keep a daily log to record the puppy’s progress. Lifewise Volunteer  – Role Profile - As a volunteer you will engage with various agencies, together with school groups to enable the smooth running of events at the centre. You will provide general assistance relating to the arrival of school groups, and other visitors, hospitality provision and act as a general point of contact whilst the events are taking place.

Digital Outreach Officer Role Profile - We are looking for volunteers to help members of the public to increase their knowledge, skills, confidence and desire to access the internet. The volunteer will share their own knowledge and experiences to make the internet accessible and desirable. Appropriate training will be provided.

Cadet Leader Role Profile - We are looking for volunteers to assist with the planning, development and supervision of training programmes for 15 to 17-year-olds involved in the cadet scheme. South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership - Volunteer Community Champion Role Profile - The South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership is a multi–agency partnership including South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, the four Local Authorities of Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and other agencies.

As a Volunteer for the South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership, you will be required to help us to distribute key safety messages and information about events and interventions to help keep people safer on our roads.
