Rape Crisis is a registered charity and is the underpinning organisation for the Rape Crisis Centres. The Rape Crisis centres provide vital crisis and specialised long term counselling for anybody who has experienced any form of sexual violence either in the past or recently. The Rape Crisis centres are independent of government and the Criminal Justice System.

There are three Rape Crisis Centres covering South Yorkshire and a Sexual Assualt Referral Centre that covers the whole of South Yorkshire:
