Robbery in Sheffield – did you see anything?

Detectives investigating a reported robbery at a newsagents in Sheffield earlier this month want to hear from you if you hold any information that could help with enquiries.

At around 9.50pm on Sunday 12 March, it is reported that two men entered Southey News in Galsworthy Road, Sheffield, threatening the staff inside with what is believed to be a handgun.

The suspects fled the scene with a large amount of cash, running towards the roundabout.

Nobody was injured during the incident. The handgun has since been recovered by officers and is an air weapon.

One of the suspects, the man carrying the airgun, is described as being white, around 35-years-old, of medium build and around 5ft 8ins tall. He is believed to have been wearing a dark waist-length padded jacket with denim jeans.

The other suspect is described as being around 25-years-old, of slim build and around 5ft 4ins tall. He is believed to have been wearing dark clothing and had a Timberland tie-up bag.
