Investigation launched into Doncaster robbery

Police in Doncaster are appealing for information and witnesses after a 74-year-old man was robbed in his home earlier this week.

At around 5.10pm on Tuesday 9 January, it is reported that a man forced his way into a property on Lorna Road, Mexborough, and pushed the 74-year-old man to the floor before stealing his watch.

The 74-year-old suffered minor injuries in the incident and has been left incredibly shaken and distressed by what has happened.

The man, who made off towards Kirby Street, has been described as white, around 6ft tall, of a large and muscular build, with no front teeth and reportedly wearing a dark hooded top.

An investigation is ongoing into the incident and offices are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or saw of a man of this description.
