Did you witness alleged assaults in Sheffield?

Police are appealing for witnesses after two alleged assaults in Sheffield this morning.

Officers are investigating reports that one man assaulted two women in separate incidents, both in the Collegiate Crescent area of the city. One of the women required hospital treatment for minor injuries.

The incidents happened shortly after each other at approximately 8.30am today (Saturday 2 August).

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in police custody.

Neighbourhood police officers are conducting extra patrols in the area over the weekend to reassure local residents.
