Bicycle also stolen during bell theft in Wentworth

Officers investigating the reported theft of bells from a garage in Wentworth, Rotherham, last month are also now making enquiries into a linked theft of a bicycle. 
 
The bells (pictured) were reportedly taken from a garage in the Wentworth area between Tuesday 10 and Sunday 22 October. Also now believed to have been taken is a distinctive, 1980s red Raleigh bicycle with its rims painted in British racing green. 
 
The bells and the bicycle are valuable and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered these items for sale. 
 
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference number C/139109/2017.

Police in Rotherham are asking people to get in touch if they have seen or purchased any bells like those pictured.

The bells were reportedly stolen from a garage in the Wentworth area of Rotherham, between Tuesday 10 and Sunday 22 October.

They are used by the local church during concerts and are of high value.

Officers believe the bells may have been sold on to antiques dealers or other people and want to hear from anyone who may have been offered bells like this for sale in the last couple of weeks.
